The Squier 40th Anniversary Special Edition celebrates the successful 40th anniversary of the introduction of the Fender Squier line in 1982. From the early days to today, guitars and basses with the Squier logo have represented the answer to the demand for more affordable Fender instrument designs.
The 40th Anniversary Stratocaster Vintage Edition offers a number of classic features for the retro Squier enthusiast - whether the subtle faux-patina touches of chrome hardware and anodized pickguard, the anniversary engraving on the neck plate, or the all-satin finish on the body and neck.
The body of the guitar, in a classic Strat double-cut design, is made from nyatoh wood. Twenty-one Narrow Tall frets and black position dots divide the maple fingerboard surface. Three single-coil pickups with Alnico V magnets give the guitar a classic Strat sound and feel, the contours of which you adjust with the volume potentiometers, tone shield and five-position pickup switch. The strings are anchored in the company's vintage-style tuning machines and synchronized tremolo with six-point attachment.
