Building on the highly successful AZ series, the AZS takes some of the AZ's most popular elements and combines them with a more modern take on the classic T design. The neck has the same oval C-shape and 12" radius as the AZ, providing soft, ergonomic comfort and fast, agile playability. Consistency of tone is another important aspect of the AZS. There are several tremolo and hardtail designs within the series, but unlike other tremolo versions in this body shape, the AZS models use a metal mounting plate for the bridge pickup, maintaining the typical bright, fat and twangy sound that this type of guitar is known for.
