Body Construction
The Classic has a gloss-finished mahogany body with a maple cap. Cream binding accentuates the body's curves.
Neck Construction
Epiphone spec’d the Les Paul Classic with a mahogany neck that has a comfortable SlimTaper profile. The neck is glued in for maximum sustain and has a revamped headstock. The Indian laurel fretboard has medium jumbo frets.
Alnico Classic Pro ’Buckers
Epiphone’s Alnico Classic Pro humbuckers are evenly wound using strong alnico 5 magnets. The result is a high-output pickup with a tight low end with sparkle and clarity. A coil-split expands the tonal range with added richness; a phase control creates a distinctive "scooped" or "hollow" sound.
Les Paul Classic Hardware
A LockTone tune-o-matic bridge offers precise intonation. The stopbar tailpiece offers maximum sustain. Grover Rotomatic tuners have an 18:1 gear ratio for tuning ease.
Other high quality specifications include CTS pots, Graph Tech nut, trapezoid inlays and gold control knobs.
