The compact Carry On travel electric guitars from the British brand Blackstar offer the sound and feel of standard-sized electric guitars despite their smaller size. The basic building material of the guitars is solid okoumé, with the body, and the neck attached to it, made from one piece. Nineteen frets and position dots divide the fretboard surface made of fig wood.
The guitar is equipped with a mini-humbucker and the possibility of splitting its coils (Coil-split) thanks to the Push/Pull function of the Volume potentiometer guarantees a decent sonic flexibility for such a compact instrument. The tuning stability and good sustain are aided by the strings being held in tuning machines with a gear ratio of 1:14 and anchored via a solid TOM style fingerboard through the body of the instrument. Vintage White guitars are decorated with a perimeter binding and a three-layer pickguard made of imitation tortoiseshell.
The guitar is strung with a set of 12 - 54 strings. In this version, the instrument comes in a travel case without accessories.
