British brand Tanglewood introduces more affordable acoustic guitars in retro and modern designs.
The TW9 E is an electroacoustic guitar of the "Super Folk" type, i.e. an instrument with a narrower and shallower body than, for example, the Dreadnought. The front of the guitar is made of solid cedar, the back and sides of mahogany laminated. Twenty frets divide the ebony-finished Eboncore composite fingerboard. A convenient lower body cutout makes it easy to play at the higher positions of the fingerboard.
Sound reinforcement is provided by the company's TW Premium Plus preamp with four-band EQ, Phase function and integrated tuner. The strings are held in chrome Die-Cast mechanisms and a composite headstock via NuBone zero and saddle frets. The nice workmanship is accentuated by the double-sided maple body binding complemented by black and white lines and a maple rosette.
